Community Altar

A central element of every Día de los Muertos celebration is the community altar, a sacred space where we gather to share offerings (ofrendas) and joyfully honor the lives of our departed loved ones. It serves as a place of healing, comfort, and reflection for all who visit.

We invite you to join us and contribute your own ofrenda to this communal altar. In collaboration with Decoraciones Hermosillo, we have crafted this special space for our community.

Due to the overwhelming response and participation we have received over the last several years, a $10 shelf reservation fee will apply for the 2026 festival. Each shelf measures approximately 8 feet wide by 1 foot deep. Participants may reserve a maximum of three (3) shelves.

Altar Set-Up Times:
Tuesday, October 28, 2026 | 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM
Wednesday, October 29, 2026 | 1:00 PM – 7:00 PM
*We will not have any set-up hours available after October 29.*

If you reserve a space and are unable to participate, please notify us as soon as possible by emailing rmartinez@grantcountywa.gov. Shelf reservation fees are non-refundable. If you are unable to attend, your reservation fee will be considered a donation to support Moravida Festival.

All altar items must be picked up by Tuesday, November 3, 2026. We are not responsible for items left after that date.
