What is Moravida Festival?

Join us for our SECOND annual Moravida Festival! The word Moravida was derived from the term commemorating life! Our festival has been molded by the traditional holiday Dia de los Muertos, also known as Day of the Dead, and is a family celebration in honor of our ancestors. There will be activities for all ages, live entertainment & dancing, vendors, food trucks, community altar, and more!

To provide a family friendly event, a gathering place to commemorate our lost loved ones and celebrate Hispanic culture.

Moravida Pre-Party Kick-Off Dance
When: Friday, October 27th 8 pm- 1 am
Where: Commercial Building
What: Live bands, dancing, bar.
Cost: $10 cover charge
Kid's 10 & under are free.

Trunk or Treat Presented by Lakesiders Car Club

3- 6 PM

Bring the kids out to the trunk or treat and enjoy the festival! Costume contest to follow.

Community Altar

A key component at any Día de los Muertos celebration is a community altar, where we share ofrenda, offerings, and come together to recognize and joyfully honor the lives of loved ones who are no longer with us. This will be a shared space for healing, comfort, and reflection.

We invite you to visit and contribute your own ofrenda to the altar. We have collaborated with Decoraciones Hermosillo to create this community altar.

You may decorate your space during the following times: Friday, October 27th between 3-8 pm OR Saturday, October 28th between 8- 10 am. All items should be picked up by Monday, October 30th. We are not responsible for any items left after October 30th. Questions? Call our office 509-765-3581.

Vendor Fees:
Community Outreach $100 8x10
Retail Vendor $150 8x10

If accepted the Grant County Fairgrounds will notify you by mail and/ or e-mail accompanied with a contract and invoice. All vendors will be required to obtain a Certificate of Insurance that lists Grant County Fairgrounds as additionally insured. Insurance requirements will be sent to vendors upon approval of participation.
