Online Entry Deadlines

Online entries close at 9:59 PM PST on the deadline date. Servers will automatically close. Entries must be complete AND submitted at this time.

YQCA Deadline

All 4-H, FFA, and Grange members exhibiting an animal that will sell through the Grant County Livestock Sale are required to be certified in Youth for the Quality Care of Livestock, YQCA, by July 1, 2023. 4-H, FFA, and Grange exhibitors not currently certified in YQCA will not be eligible to sell through the Livestock Market Sale. Please complete your certification BEFORE registering your animal for the Fair. You will be required to enter your certificate # when you register your animal.

This includes the following species market beef steer, bred & springer dairy heifers, market pigs, market lamb, market goat, poultry and/or rabbits).

4-H Entry Deadlines

ALL 4-H Static exhibits must be pre-registered online. We will no longer have onsite registration for any 4-H Divisions.

Due July 10th- Educational Posters, Public Presentation, Record Keeping Books.
Due July 28th- Photography
Due August 7th- All other 4-H Divisions not listed above.

Entries for Educational Posters, Public Presentations, Record Keeping, and Photography must be dropped off at the WSU Extension office by Friday, July 28th at 5 pm. Exhibitors should label the back of their entries with their name, club, and project area. Posters can be picked up at the 4-H building Monday of Fair Week.

Grange Educational Posters & Record Books

All exhibitors must register for and display an educational poster in order to be eligible to sell their animal at auction. Online registration due- July 10th

Educational Posters
1. All exhibitors shall enter an Educational Poster. Exhibitors shall enter one poster per class/project.
2. Posters shall focus on a topic related to a youth member’s project. The topic of choice shall educate the reader/viewer. Posters must be readable from 10 ft away.
3. Name, age (as of Jan 1), and home Grange of the exhibitor shall be written on the back of the poster.
4. Posters will be judged and displayed in the appropriate barn or display area.
5. The poster must be completed by the exhibitor within the current year.
6. Sizing: Minimum of 14”x22”, Maximum of 22”x28”
7. Educational Posters will be judged on: Design, Legibility, Originality & Creativity, and Educational Value.
8. Educational Posters are due to the Grange Youth Leader and/or County Coordinator no later than August 1st.

Record Books
1. All exhibitors shall enter a Project Record Book.
2. Name, age (as of Jan 1), and home Grange of the exhibitor shall be written on the cover, or first page of the Record Book.
3. Pages shall be 8.5”x11”. Handwritten or typed is acceptable
4. Cover shall be Red Pressboard Acco Fastened Folder, Red Two-prong folder bound on the left side or a red binder.
5. Dividers or Tabs shall be used to delineate the different sections.
6. Sections of the record book shall, at a minimum include: Calendar, Project Plans/Commitment (including financial summary), Project Diary/Journal, Project Summary/Highlights, Project Pictures, Permanent Record, and Exhibitor’s Grange/Project Story.
7. Records books are due to the Grange Youth Leader and/or County Coordinator no later than August 1st.


FFA Educational Posters

All exhibitors must register for and display an educational poster in order to be eligible to sell their animal at auction.

Online registration due- July 10th

Exhibitors must hang their educational posters above their pen for display by Monday, August 14th.


Goat Tagging

USDA/ WSDA rules state that all goats entering the Fair must have official scrapie tag identification this includes all goats that are moved off their farm to market or exhibition if female, intact male, or wether older than 18 months. This rule applies to all goats that are moved off the farm into situations where they will co-mingle and not go to slaughter. Premise ID is not the same as official scrapie ID and tattoos must be in compliance with USDA rules concerning registered animals.

Please have your goat tagged BEFORE registering your animal for the Fair. You will be required to enter your scrapie tag # when you register your animal. Click here for more information on getting your goats tagged.



Poultry Tagging & Testing

All birds entering the Fair must be tagged for all their fair classes and tested for Pullorum-Typhoid.
  • Poultry bands are available at the WSU Extension Office for market birds attending to Grant County Fair.
  • Two photos of each animal will need to be emailed to ana.myers@wsu.edu by Friday, June 30—the whole bird and a picture of the leg band so the number is legible. The name of the exhibitor, band number, and the club/chapter will also need to accompany the photo

Poultry Testing

Date: Thursday, June 29th
Time: 4-6 PM
FFA birds will start at 4 PM, followed by 4-H, followed by Grange, and the Open. All birds have to be tested to come to fair. Any that are unbanned will be banded during testing.
Location: Morrison's Veterinary Services- Parking Lot

Cost: $25 per bird. Grant County Fair is covering the cost of one bird per exhibitor the exhibitor will be resopnsible for covering the cost of additonal birds.

Rabbit Tattooing

All rabbits entering the Fair must be tattooed for proper identification.

Date: Thursday, June 1st

Time: 6- 8pm

Location: Rabbit Barn

Cost: $2 per Rabbit
to help cover the cost of tattooing supplies.
